Together with my Co-Author Tatiana Batova, we created a new writing assignment for high-enrollment statistics classes. The new assignment is based on the concept of structured writing.
Structured Writing is a new way to introduce writing assignments into high-enrollment introduction to statistics classes. Our research provides quantitative and qualitative evidence that these type of writing assignments benefit students and that grading is not a burden (30-45 seconds per submission) for instructors.
